Use integers to discribe the main floor, the basement, and the third floor.

(-1, o, 2)

Give each an example for:

opposite integer- (+1, -1)

zero pair- (+1)~(-1)

addition statement- (-3)+2=1

subtraction statement- (-3)-2=(-5)

Give an example for each:

(+)+(-)=(+)

(+)+(-)=(-)

(+)-(-)=(+)

(+)-(-)=(-)

~Sorry that I didn't put any pictures of the integer chips, I was in a rush and I thought it would take to much time to do them all~

Exam Review Study Notes (June 9' 10)

Add Video
300 ugly kids were asked what is their favourite colour. How many like blue, how many like green, and how many like gold.

Blue:
25/100 = 75/100 or 25% of 300
(x3)
0.25 x 300 = 75

Green:

30/100 = 90/100 or 30% of 300
(x3)
0.3 x 300 = 75

Gold:

45/100 = 135/100 or 45% of 300
(x3)
0.45 x 300 = 135

What is the estimated ratio of the circumference to diameter.
3.14 : 1

Find the circumference when radius is 6cm.
2r = d c=2Лr
2(6) = d c = 2 (3.14) (6)
12 = d or c = 6.2816
c = Л d c = 37.68cm c = 3.14 (12) c = 37.68 cm

Find area when diameter is 1om.
r = d/2
r = 10/2

r = 5m

a = Л r 2
a = 3.14 x 5²
a = 3.14 x 25
a = 705 m²

The measure of a sector is 20% of the data.
What is the central angle for this sector?
20% of 360°
0.2 x 360° = 72°

The central angle 198° what percentage the circle represents?

(divide)
316 198/360 = 55/100

(─316)

I have a pool with a radius of 6m.
My yard is 30m long by 15m, how much space do I have left in my yard?

A yard L x W
= 15 x
= 450 m²
A pool = Л r²
= 3.14 (6)
= 3.14(36)
30 m
= 113.04 m²
450 - 113161 = 336.96m²

What YOU Must Know!!
You must be able to Convert: Fractions, Decimals ,and Percentages.
When converting something into a....
Fraction, it is out of any whole number.
Percentage, it is out of 100.
Decimal, it is out of 1.

Try to convert 2/5 into a Percentage and Decimal.

*Fraction - Decimal: Numerator / Denominator
Decimal - Fraction: Convert decimal into a percentage, and convert percentage into fraction. Then simplify.
Percentage - Fraction: Whole number is numerator, and 100 is denominator. Simplify.
Fraction - Percentage: Convert fraction into decimal, and convert decimal into a percentage.
Decimal - Percentage: Decimal x 100.
Percentage - Decimal: Convert percentage into fraction, then convert fraction into decimal.
If I missed anything, comment and tell me!*
