DEFINE:
Perpendicular- Describes lines that intersect at right angles. (90 degrees)
Parallel- Describes lines in the same plane that never crosses or intersect.
Intersecting- Lines that cross at any angle.
Perpendicular Bisector- A line that divides a line segment in half and meet at 90 degrees.
Angle Bisector- The line that divides an angle into 2 equal parts.
Acute angle- An angle that is less than 90 degrees.
Obtuse angle- An angle that is greater than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees.
Right angle- is exactly 90 degrees.
Formulas :
Area of a triangle= bxh divided by 2.
Area of a parallelogram= bxh
Base- 50m Height-20m. Find the Area of the Parallelogram.
A= bxh
A= 50x20
A= 1000m "squared"
Find the area:
A= bxh/2
A= 10x12/2
A=120/2
A= 60m "squared"
CONVERT:
fractions->decimals->Percents
3/4 = 75/100= 0.75/1
- Fractions are out of any whole number.
-Percentages are out of 100
-Decimals are out of 1
2/5= 40/100 --> 2/5=0.4/1
