Integers

ID the pattern, write a chart and create algabric equation

How many sticks if I have 211 houses?
4x+1=y
4(211)+1=y
844+1=845
845=y

Integers Continued

one chip representing -1
Eg.

- the pair represents zero because (+1) + (-1) = 0
Opposite Integers - two integers with the same numeral (a number) but different signs (+,-)

  2. Great job, Angelique :)
    I thought it was really great, how you showed the positive and negative together, making a zero pair.
    The video helped me, a lot, with how to add/subtract.
    Keep up the great work :D

  9. I noticed that the last question picture on the "Show using Chips" image doesn't make that much sense because you showed all of the chips as positives and it didn't go with the answer.
